Nizhny Novgorod Academic Puppet Theatre

Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Puppet Theatre is located on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street, 39. Established as "Pyotrushka Theatre" and later renamed under Alexander Mishin's leadership in 1967. The theatre received academic status in 1997, becoming the second such institution in Russia. In 2023, a small stage was opened for intimate performances. During World War II, the theatre created eleven new productions. Initially, the troupe consisted of only six actors.
