Great Pokrovskaya Street
Nizhny Novgorod, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya St
Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod is the city's main pedestrian avenue, also referred to as "Nizhny Novgorod's Arbat." Bronze statues of 19th-century locals are located here: a policeman, shoeshine boy, lady with a pooch, and others. Named after the former Pokrovska Church, it runs from Minin and Pozhar Square to Lyadova Square, renowned for its theatres, museums, and various cafés.
