Alexandrovsky Garden

Alexandrovsky Garden is situated in Nizhny Novgorod, next to the Kremlin on the Volga riverbank. The park was founded in 1835 under Emperor Nikolay I's decree and previously known as Paninsky Sloboda. Its main attraction is Chkalovskaya Steps shaped like an eight. There is also a musical shell stage built in 1958 and restored after a fire. The total area of the park is approximately 35 hectares. In the 19th century, tree planting activities were carried out until 1851. During the 1990s, the condition of the garden deteriorated due to lack of maintenance.
