Waiting Woman Monument

The monument "Waiting" is located in Murmansk on Chumbarova-Luchinskiy Street, 46. It was opened on November 10, 2012. The sculpture, about three meters high, depicts a girl standing on a bollard and looking into the distance towards the Kolsky Bay. A seagull sits next to her. The sculptors are Igor Chumakov and Yuri Anushko. The idea of creating the monument came from the poem "Sentimental Watch" by Victor Timofeev, which reflects the themes of love and loyalty.
