Monument to Warriors of the 6th Heroic Komsomol Battery

The monument to the 6th Heroic Komsomol Battery is situated on Lenina Avenue in Murmansk near building #31. It is a regional cultural heritage site opened on November 6, 1959. The memorial consists of an authentic 76-mm ZIS-3 gun designed by architect D.K. Vodolazhsky. Under the command of Lieutenant G.F. Lysenko, the battery heroically defended against the enemy on September 1941 near River Western Litsa. There was also an eternal flame here from 1965 to 1975.
