The Monument to Cyrill and Methodius in Murmansk stands on First Teachers Square at Sofya Perovskay Street, 21A. The sculpture was created by Bulgarian artist Vladimir Ginovski and unveiled in 1990. It is an author's copy of the monument in Sofia symbolizing Bulgaria's acknowledgment of Murmansk's role in celebrating the Day of Slavic Writing. The composition features figures of the holy brothers holding a scroll with the first letters of Cyrillic script set upon a concrete pedestal composed of twelve granite slabs.
