Tsarevkokshaisky Kremlin

Tsarevkokshaysky Kreml' is located in Yoshkar-Ola at ulitsa Voznesenskaya, 49. Nearby there is Vorosiysky sobor. Regularly here theatrical outdoor performances, fairs, historical reconstruction festivals and folk holidays take place. The complex is named after the former city name - Tsarevkokshask. Entrance is free. On the premises there's a monument to tsar Fedor Ioannovich who founded the town in 1584. Also open is Pokrovskaya chapel.
