Assumption Cathedral (Assumption Church)

The two-story Voznesenskaya Church is situated in Yoshkar-Ola at 31 Voznesenskaya Street. Built in 1756 by merchant Pchelin, it was constructed in the style of Russian baroque and is among the oldest stone buildings in the city. The church is opposite Tsarevkokhsaysky Kremlin and was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church in 1992. The first service took place on Easter in 1995.
