Hristov's Resurrection Cathedral

The Modern Voskresenskiy Cathedral stands on Voznesenskaya Street in Yoshkar-Ola. It was built on the site of the previous church destroyed during Soviet times. Nearby are Voznesenskaya Embankment and Tsarevkokshaysky Kremlin. On the tower there are animated clock apostles who emerge every three hours. The cathedral is situated on Patriarch's Square and externally resembles Count Sheremetev's castle in Yurino.
