Yoshkin Kat Monument
Yoshkar-Ola, Leninsky Avenue, entrance to Mari State University
The monument "Yoshkin Kot" is situated at the entrance to the Mari State University on Lenina Avenue in Yoshkar-Ola. It was installed in 2011 and quickly became a symbol of the city. According to local lore, touching the sculpture's paw can fulfill a wish. The statue also appears on souvenirs and postcards.
