Sergey Chavayn Monument

The monument to Sergey Chavayn is situated in Yoshkar-Ola at the intersection of Boulevard named after him and Soviet Street. The sculpture by Boris Dyuzhev depicts sitting Chavayn holding a book, made from bronze and placed on a granite pedestal. The monument was unveiled in 1978; initially it contained an incorrect death date which was later corrected to 1937.
