Lorenzo Medici Monument

The Lorenzo Medici Monument is situated in the Italian Park of Yoshkar-Ola city. It was unveiled on September 21st, 2012. The composition's author is Russia's People's Artist Andrey Kovalychuk. Lorenzo is depicted sitting on a throne with an open book, symbolizing his knowledge and wisdom. Nearby are figures of a muse and a lion bearing the Medici coat of arms. This is the park's main attraction, also known as the Medici Park.
