National Museum of Mari El named after T. Evseev

The National Museum of the Mari El Republic named after T. Yevseev is located in Yoshkar-Ola at ulitsa Sovetskaya, 153. Founded on March 4, 1920, it houses over 228,000 exhibits including archaeological artifacts of ancient Mari people from the 6th to 13th centuries, works by early Mari painters of the 20th century and materials about Orthodox Christianity. The museum has branches: the Museum of the History of Orthodoxy and a children's exhibition center. In 2024, a patriotic center "Heroes of the Fatherland" opened.
