National Gallery

The National Art Gallery in Yoshkar-Ola is located at Lenina Prospekt, 24. The building is designed in the style of Italian Renaissance by architect V.P. Gorbany. Inside there are paintings, graphics, sculptures and items of Mari folk art. There is a Resource Center for children and teenagers, regular exhibitions from collections of Russian and world museums as well as private displays. The gallery is closely linked to the State Russian Museum through the Cultural Exhibition Centre.
