Amsterdam Waterfront

Amsterdam Embankment in Yoshkar-Ola runs along the Little Kokshaga River from Pushkin Street to Gogol Street. Architecture of the embankment mimics Dutch urban structures: elongated facades, island roofs and decorative towers. There is a mosaic panel with bronze depictions of guslarsh in Mordvin national costumes. Also installed are monuments to prominent figures: Alexander Pushkin and Evgeniy Onegin, Rembrandt van Rijn and Nikolay Vasilievich Gogol.
