Museum of History and Archaeology

The Museum of History and Archaeology in Yoshkar-Ola is located at Eskinina Street, 10a. Opened in 2018, it introduces visitors to the history of the Mari region from early medieval times until present day. Special emphasis is given to the evolution of the Mari women's costume over a thousand years. A separate exhibition highlights the participation of the Mari people in World War II. Adjacent to it is the Children's Museum and Exhibition Center, which was also opened simultaneously.
