Mariinsky Drama Theatre имени M. Shketan

Mari State Drama Theatre named after M. Shketan located in Yoshkar-Ola on Lenin Square. It is the oldest cultural institution of the region known for its performances in Mari language. Unique theatrical experiences based on traditions of the Mari people are presented here. Nearby the theatre there is a bust of its founder - Yakov Mayorov-Shketan unveiled in 1987.
