Mariinsky Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after E. Sapaev

Ermak Mari State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after E. Sapaev is located in Yoshkar-Ola at Komсомольskaya street, 130. Founded in 1994, it bears the name of a famous Mari composer. Its repertoire includes national operas ("Akpaty", "Aldyar") and ballets ("Forest Legend"), as well as performances of world composers including notable works by Carl Orff. The theatre actively collaborates with leading experts from various countries and Russian cities. In summer, open performances take place on the territory of Tsarevkoksheysky Kremlin.
