Witch's House
Vyborg, Vyborgskaya Street, 1A
The building "Witch's House" is situated at the intersection of South Val Street and Vyborgskaya Street in Vyborg. It is a three-four story G-shaped house with an angular tower under a tent roof and three gables on the facade facing South Val Street. The building was constructed at the end of the 19th century according to architect Edward Dippel's design for the joint-stock company "Torkel", replacing an old merchant's house. Its unusual shape and flat appearance from the corner earned it nicknames such as "house without a wall," "playing card house," and "witch's house."
