Clock Tower
Vyborg, Krepostnaya Street, 5B
The Clock Tower in Vyborg is situated on Krepostnaya Street, 5B. It is an historical building originally serving as an independent bell tower for the city's main cathedral. In the 18th century after reconstruction, the belfry was placed in the upper windows of an octagon, while lower windows were filled with bricks. The tower is famous due to its restorations in 1979-1980 and again in 2019 when facades, interiors and clock mechanism were updated. An ancient warning bell donated by Catherine II also resides here, having sounded for over two centuries.
