Admiral Apraksin Embankment

Admiral Apraksin Embankment in Vyborg stretches for 900 meters along picturesque shores of the Gulf of Finland. Interesting historical buildings have been preserved here: stone proviant storehouse in Russian classicism style and breakwater with an old diving tower built in the 1930s. In 2023, a sculpture of a red centaur was installed on the embankment symbolizing architects' creative spirit. Previously, fortresses and proviant warehouses stood there, reconstructed after city replanning in the 17th century.
