Central Park

Krasnoyarsk, Karla Marksa St, 151

Central Krasnoyarsk Park is situated on the left bank of Yenisei in the historical city center. Established in 1828, it originally was called City Garden which in 1934 was renamed after Maxim Gorky. The park has two areas: an active zone with attractions and a quiet walking area. Once artist Vasily Surikov strolled here, and in 1891 Tsarevich Nikolay Alexandrovich was honored there. Initially, the park featured forested areas, some of which remain to this day as old pines. Originally, it had a children's railway about 1.5 kilometers long.
