Holy-Uspensky Monastery

The Holy-Dormition Male Monastery is situated in Udachny village on the left bank of Yenisei River in Krasnoyarsk. Founded in 1873 upon initiative of Bishop Anthony. The cell block was built in 1879. During Soviet times it housed a school-commune, rest home and pioneer camp. In 2000 the complex was transferred to Krasnoyarsk Diocese. The Church of the Icon of Our Lady "All-Ruling" was consecrated in December 2015 after completion of construction according to Leonid Chernyshov's early 20th century project. The monastery suffered from floods in 1888 when wooden structures and infrastructure were destroyed.
