Krasnoyarsk Stones National Park

Krasnoyarskye Stolby National Park is situated on the northwestern part of Eastern Sayan, near Krasnoyarsk. It was founded in 1925 by local residents. Over 226 bird species have been recorded here. The park is famous for its unique style of stolbizm — free climbing along cliffs. The most well-known peaks are named artistically: "Ded" ("Grandfather"), "Babka" ("Granny"), "Perya" ("Feathers"), "Lviny Vorota" ("Lion's Gates"). Various hiking trails of different difficulty levels pass through the park, attracting numerous tourists daily.
