Surikov Mansion
Красноярск, ул. Ленина, 98
V.I. Surikov Museum-residence is located in the historical center of Krasnoyarsk at Lenin Street, 98. It was opened on June 5, 1948 to commemorate the centenary of famous artist Vasily Ivanovich Surikov's birth. The house where the museum is situated is a two-story wooden building built in the 1830s from larch wood. The first floor reproduces the authentic living environment of the Surikov family, including furniture, dishes and clothing. The exhibition includes early works by the master, among which stands out an aquatic study "Rafts on the Yenisei". Of particular value is the largest collection of genuine Surikov works after Moscow museums—there are 92 paintings stored here.
