Khvorostovsky State Opera and Ballet Theatre of Krasnoyarsk

The Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A. Khvorostovsky is located at Peresona Street, 2 in Krasnoyarsk. Founded in 1976, it was named after the outstanding opera singer Dmitry Khvorostovsky who used to be its soloist. Famous operas and ballets by composers such as Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Donizetti, Rimsky-Korsakov are performed there. The theatre is known for its operatic production "Knyaz Igor" by Borodin, which marked its beginning. The artists of the theatre successfully perform abroad, touring in Portugal, Spain, France, the USA, Japan and other countries.
