State Universal Scientific Library of Krasnoyarsk Region

The regional state universal scientific library of Krasnoyarsk Region is situated on Karl Marx Street, 114 in Krasnoyarsk city. Established in 1935, it commenced operations following the formation of Krasnoyarsk region in 1934. During World War II, the library actively supported military needs, serving conscription points, hospitals and medical trains. Its initial collection consisted of books from the personal library of Yudin Gennady. Construction of the modern library building began in 1958.
