Sochi National Park

Sochi National Park covers an area of 214,098.6 hectares and is situated near Sochi. It protects unique natural objects such as waterfalls, caves, grottoes, ravines, canyons, high-mountain lakes and mineral springs. About a third of local plant and animal species are relict. The park is rich in rare flora and fauna, with more than twenty percent listed in Russia's Red Book. Mount Turykh Gors' Black Massif peak reaches 2,980 meters, being the highest point within the park. River Mzymta, 89 km long, flows through its territory.
