Frunze Park (Primorsky Park)

Frunze Park, previously known as Primorsky Park, is situated in Sochi on Primorskaya Street. It was founded in the late 19th century by Vereshchagins brothers who acquired the land from the government. After the acquisition of Upper Vereshchagina side by the government, its reconstruction began in 1968. A distinctive feature of the park are the preserved since then oaks, hornbeams and beeches, complemented with magnolias, bananas, palms and roses in the upper part. There is also a summer theater built in 1937 and alleys originally filled with gravel. In 1913 an 179-meter support was erected. Works of art recognized as sculptures of composers, placed under state protection in 1983.
