Anchor and Cannon Monument

The monument "Anchor and Cannon" was installed in Pushkin's Square in Sochi city. It originally stood in the upper city park near Pushkin Library. The solemn opening of the monument took place on April 23, 1913, to commemorate the three-hundredth anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The monument honors Russian soldiers and officers who died during the Caucasian War and was created with funds from Leonid Dolinsky. The anchor retains a factory inscription indicating the date of manufacture.
