Anchor and Cannon Monument
Сочи, Пушкинский сквер
The monument "Anchor and Cannon" was installed in Pushkin's Garden in Sochi city. It originally commemorated the memory of Russian soldiers who died in the Caucasian War. The opening of the monument took place on April 23, 1913, with religious consecration ceremonies held. The project author and initiator of construction was Leonid Dolinsky, who funded the installation of the monument from his personal funds. An original factory inscription remains on the anchor, indicating the date of manufacture and other details about it. Initially, the composition included a cannon on a stone carriage.
