Nevaginskaya Street

Navaginskaya Street in Sochi is known for its Trade Gallery project designed by architects from "Mosgrazhdanproekt" led by Elena Anzuta. In 2013, an Olympic pedestrian zone reconstruction was carried out by specialists from "Grandshtroy" under the direction of Vladimir Tupichkin, Alexander Kiselev and Valentina Smirnova. The idea of freeing the street from automobile traffic emerged as early as the late 1970s. Urban planning concept included unifying railway and sea stations with a broad boulevard. The reconstruction project won first place in the "Archrazrez 2014" competition in the category of urban construction and improvement of city environment.
