City History Museum of Sochi

The City Resort History Museum is located at Sochi, Vorovskogo Street, 54/11. Founded in 1920 based on the Caucasian Mountain Club, it exhibits over 4000 items including artifacts from ancient and medieval times as well as items of everyday life of the Caucasus peoples. Visitors can learn about the history of resort development in the region and details of the preparation and holding of the 2014 Olympics. The total exhibition area covers approximately 700 square meters distributed across 14 rooms. The museum building is an architectural monument.
