Ahun Mountain

Ahun Mountain near Sochi is famous for its natural wealth. It has sources of mineral springs and numerous caves explored by archaeologists who found fragments of ancient ceramics. The mountain's forests are home to typical fauna of Northwestern Caucasus. On its southern slope there is a church dating back to the final period of Christianization of the region; this site is listed among historical and cultural monuments of the area.
