Mikhail of Chernigov Church

The Church of Mikhail Chernigovsky is situated on the Thin Cape in Gelendjik. Built in 1913 with funds from local residents in the neo-russian style according to the project of academician Vladimir Pokrovsky. In 1992 it was included in the list of surviving pre-revolutionary churches of Russia. After being closed during the Soviet era, it reopened for services. In 1995 it was transferred to the Chernigovskoye skit of Troitse-Sergiyeva lavra.
