Gelendzhik Lighthouse

Stavron Mayak Gelendzhika - an operational architectural attraction on Lermontov Boulevard. A white-stone tower about 13 meters high was built in 1906 and serves as a guide for ships entering Gelendzhik Bay, visible up to 9 nautical miles away. The building has characteristic white-and-red coloring and consists of two floors with a small four-sided tower above. The lighthouse began operating in 1897 and since then continuously ensures maritime safety.
