Cathedral of the Assumption

Cathedral of the Ascension of the Lord - Orthodox church in Gelendzhik, being the second cathedralnyy cathedral of Novorossiysk diocese. Monument of urban planning of early 20th century, it was transferred to the historical and regional museum in 1984 but later returned to the church. Dedication of the temple took place on May 6, 1909 after construction from 1905 to 1909. The building is under protection as an architectural monument since 1981 and recognized as a local value since 1979.
