Pshada Dolmens (Dolmen Village)

Gelendzhik District, Psada village and Pshada river valley

The Psad dolmens are a group of ancient Bronze Age megalithic monuments located in the Psada River valley, about 30 km from Gelendzhik. To see the structures resembling birdhouses with round openings and massive stone "plugs," one must walk about 6 kilometers up the trail from the village of Psada. The sizes of the megaliths vary from compact to large, with the walls of the largest dolmen reaching 4 meters in length, and the thickness of some reaching 60 cm. On the left bank of the Psada River, there is a separate group of 18 such ancient structures.
