Memorial to the Crew of Toperok Sailing Ship

The monument to the crew of trawler "Topork" was installed on Gelendzhik's Embankment next to Tylos Cape. It commemorates thirteen sailors who died in a tragic ship accident between Idocopas Cape and Tylos in February 1966. The monument design was created by architect G.P. Shapovalov, while its installation was handled by fish collective farm "Paris Commune". A decision to install it was made a month after the tragedy occurred.
