Mikhailovskoye Fortress Museum Complex

"Mikhailovskoye Fortress Museum Complex" is situated in Archipovo-Osipovka village, Gelendjik. Founded in 1837, it was included as part of the Black Sea Coastal Line during the Caucasian War. Remains of its ramparts, which became part of the museum grounds, have been preserved. In summer 2005 an ethnographic and historical regional museum opened showcasing defense dioramas and local ethnic artifacts. The fortification has been registered as a historical monument since 1981.
