Mikhailovskoye Fortress Museum Complex

Museum complex "Mikhailovskoye Upryazhcheniye" is situated in Archipovo-Osipovka village near Gelendjik. One can see remains of fortifications built in 1837 which played an important role during the Caucasian War. Special attention draws diorama depicting heroic actions of soldier Arhip Osipov who blew up the powder magazine on March 21-22, 1840. The complex was opened in summer 2005 and became historical monument since 1981.
