Saint Demetrius Church in Pshada

The Church of Saint Great Martyr Dimitry Solunsky is located in Pshada village, Gelendzhik district. Built in 1865-1866 with funds from local residents and military authorities. Initially it was a wooden chapel covered with reeds. The parish has a long history starting from 1866 linked to the Orthodox network of Shapsug coastal battalion. Today the church operates and belongs to Gelendzhik deanery of Novorossiysk diocese.
