Battery No. 714 Captain M. P. Chelak

Battery No. 714 Captain M.P. Chelak - Memorial Complex in Blue Bay microdistrict of Gelendzhik city. Part of the Black Sea Fleet and defended the city from air attacks during World War II. Here was located the 117th Separate Artillery Detachment that ensured defense of Gelendzhik and protected Soviet ships in Tsemes Bay. Today a museum dedicated to the heroism of artillerymen-batterymen is open here.
