Beginning of Caucasus Mountains Monument

Monument "The Start of the Caucasus Mountains" is situated on Semisamsky Ridge near Anapa. It marks the beginning of the Greater Caucasian Range extending over more than 1100 km to the Caspian Sea. Opened on Russia Day, June 12, 2013. Crowning the composition is a sculpture of an eagle by Vasily Polyakov designed by architect Yuri Rysin.
