Batterie BS-464 Coastal Fortress

Battery BS-464 on the coast is situated at the entrance to Vitiazevo village, in Anapa city district. Formed in October 1941, it went through trials of World War II, reinforced by artillerymen from destroyer "Shauyam" and marine infantry. The installation, having removed guns from a sunken ship, during its service performed 216 artillery firings. In 1978, a commemorative sign was installed at the site of the battery.
