Family Sculpture Composition (Dymkovo Toy Monument)

The sculptural composition "Family" in front of the Kirov Puppet Theater named after A. N. Afanasyev depicts characters in the style of Dymkovo toys: a fancy-dressed woman with a baby, a man with an accordion, and a boy with a whistle, accompanied by bronze cat and dog figures. The total width of the bronze group is 3.5 meters, and the decorative elements are covered with gold leaf. Traditions have developed around the monument: sitting on the bench, people make a wish for a happy family, touching the accordion — for a cheerful life, and touching the baby — for children.
