Monument to V. M. and A. M. Vasnetsov

A monument to the brothers Viktor and Apollinary Vasnetsov was erected in Kirov on May 28, 1992, near the Vyatka Art Museum named after them. The bronze composition by sculptor Yuri Orekhov and architect S. P. Khadzhibaronov depicts the artists examining a painting on a granite pedestal. In 2014, a flowerbed in the shape of a palette appeared next to the monument, which is located between the old and new buildings of the museum. Viktor Vasnetsov, who became famous for his paintings on fairy-tale and epic subjects, was an honorary citizen of Vyatka and one of the initiators of the creation of the museum, which opened in 1910.
