Lenin Monument

The Vladimir Ilyich Lenin monument stands on Theatre Square in the center of Kirov. It was installed in 1970 to commemorate the centennial of the leader's birth. The sculptors were Mikhail Koskin and Fedor Shpak, with architect Ivan Siniča. The sculpture is made from red Zhitomir granite. The monument serves as an important cityscape reference point and forms part of the public space of the square.
