Kirov Regional Museum of Local Lore

Kirov Regional Museum of Local Lore is situated at Spasskaya St., 6. Founded in 1866 as Vyatka Public Museum and named after Pyotr Vladimirovich Alabin. Exhibits include archaeological finds, ethnographic items, natural specimens and materials on the history of Vyatka region. A special place is taken by the exhibition "Russia - Vyatka: Features of National History". The museum also has branches and organizes educational events. Textile collection features costumes from various regional ethnic groups.
