Viatka State University Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden of Vyatka State University is located in the center of Kirov city at Karl Marx Street, 95. It was founded during the period from 1912 to 1914 by Aleksey Andreevich Istomin. From the time of its establishment until 1923 it belonged to a private individual, after which it passed under the ownership of Vyatka Pedagogical Institute. Today, the garden serves as a place for educational activities and scientific research for students and staff of the university. The total area of the botanical garden is approximately 1.7 hectares.
