Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral

The Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral in Khabarovsk is located on Славы Square by the Amur River. It is the third tallest church in Russia with cupolas reaching 95 meters high. Inside there are two altars: upper one - Transfiguration of the Lord and lower one - Mark the Apostle. The interior is decorated with frescoes painted by Moscow artists. The cathedral was built from 2001 to 2004 under the blessing of Patriarch Alexius II of Moscow and can accommodate up to three thousand worshippers simultaneously.
