Glory Square

Victory Square in Khabarovsk opened on May 9th, 1975. In its center stands a 30-meter-high pylon with plaques symbolizing decades of peace following victory. By 2000, additional pylons were added bearing the names of 20,000 deceased residents from the region. Following the 2003 reconstruction, a Spaso-Preobrazhensky cathedral and memorial to Khabarovsk natives fallen in local conflicts appeared nearby. Initially, the central element was a pylon and a wall featuring reliefs of Soviet orders.
